Noodling a little here and there, but always bringing the piece home. You are a first rate essayist, and you kindly keep a door open for a reader. And they are of a piece with the observational entries. Which makes me begin to slaver to have all of this in Blackbird. It would also be fun to link up in some way with David at Kenyon, which is where I know these longer pieces make their debut. Anyway, thanks for a bright beginning to a gray Sunday morning.
